How to Prepare Your Files for Printing:
A Step-by-Step Guide

Getting your files ready for printing is crucial to ensure your labels look perfect. Here’s a simple guide to help you prepare your files for our roll label printing services:

Choose the Right Format

Save your design files in high-resolution formats like PDF, AI, or EPS. These formats preserve quality and are ideal for professional printing.

Set the Correct Dimensions

Ensure your file is set to the exact dimensions of the label you need. Include bleed areas—typically 1/8 inch—beyond the trim line to avoid white edges.

Use CMYK Color Mode

Convert your design to CMYK color mode, which is used for printing. RGB colors might look great on screen but can shift when printed.

Embed Fonts and Images

Ensure all fonts are embedded or converted to outlines, and all linked images are included in the file. This prevents any issues with missing elements.

Check Resolution

Images should be at least 300 DPI (dots per inch) to ensure they print clearly and without pixelation.

Proof read and Double-Check

Review your design for errors in text, layout, and colors. It’s always a good idea to get a second set of eyes on your design before submitting it for printing.

Save and Send

Once your file is ready, save it according to our specifications and send it to us for printing. We’ll review it and provide feedback if any adjustments are needed.

By following these steps, you’ll ensure your labels look exactly as you envisioned. At The LabelHub, we’re here to assist you every step of the way, ensuring a smooth and successful printing process.
